Tees Rowing Club

Tees Rowing Club, founded in 1864, is an open Community Amateur Sports Club with active racing and recreational squads for seniors, juniors and veterans. Our base is the River Tees Watersports Centre, in the North Shore Development east of Stockton town centre, and we row on the River Tees from the Tees Barrage upstream to Thornaby, Preston Park and beyond.
We compete in the Northern and adjoining regions, and at national heads and regattas. Tees RC is a Host Club for the ARA’s World Class Start and Potential scheme, with some athletes competing for the GB U23 squad and others trialling. The Club encourages local youngsters at partner school to try the sport under the Project Oarsome scheme. In addition, we have adaptive boats, water access and land facilities for disabled participants to enjoy the sport, and open our doors to rowing during off-peak times.
We are friendly and family-oriented, with lots going on both on and off the water. New members, including beginners of all ages, coxes, coaches and volunteers, are welcome at any time.
